The Electronics & Communication Engineering is a dynamically changing and ever evolving branch. The Department ensures to bring a continuous improvement and overall development of student with sustained efforts towards Quality Teaching and Learning. The department has always been on progressive path, thanks to our experienced and dedicated faculty. It aims at producing globally competitive and socially sensitized engineering graduates. The Department is imparting the required technical and practical knowledge to the students. Electronics and communication engineering course give enormous job opportunities in electronics and software companies. It also gives great opportunities for research and development, as everyday consumer need new devices to support them in daily life.

Keeping in line with fast changing technology, the department has a well designed, constantly reviewed syllabus to incorporate all advancements in existing and emerging technologies. The state-of-the-art laboratories complement the high standards set by the competitive syllabus and nurture the inclination of the students towards research and development, besides giving them the necessary and sufficient backing of practical knowledge that they need. The equipments available in the labs are upgraded as an ongoing process so as to keep pace with the latest developments in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering. An effort is made to groom these students not only to become successful Electronics & Communication Engineers but also top notch professionals.

The Department makes eternal efforts to ensure that knowledge of the faculty is also updated regularly by arranging Seminars, Faculty Development Programs in the college as well by sending them to attend Seminars and Conferences at outside Institutions. Innovation, orientation and an ever expanding base serve as a firm foundation for the structure for the latest development in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering.

THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING (ECE) has consistently maintained an exemplary academic record. The greatest asset of the department is its highly motivated and learned faculty. The available diversity of expertise of the faculty with the support of the other staff prepares the students to work in global multicultural environment. The graduates of the Electronics & Communication Stream have been selected by some of the worlds leading corporations & as well as by most of the leading Indian counter parts.

We hope that we will continue to deliver our best to serve the society and mankind. It is also expected and that our students will continue to pass-on the skills which they have developed during their stay at this department to whole of the world for a better society. Electronics Lab

The lab has been developed well with use of kits as well as Bread board to Make students understand basic analog circuit designing. It is an introductory experimental laboratory that explores the design construction of analog circuit. Lab has large no of CRO, function generator multi-meters so that student can understand free hand experiment.

Embedded Lab

The lab is designed to provide the student a very basic knowledge about Micro-controller. Here we use 8051 base trainer kits. They learn to further fore and control Various applications using 8051 assembly programming and embedded “C” with Kiel software. For e.g. seven segment display, stepper motor control , traffic light control.

VLSI & Optical Fiber Lab

This lab is designed to give student the practical exposure about VLSI design and optical fiber communication. Here we use different trainer kit for optical communication and calculate different losses which occurs during transmission of signal.

Microwave & comm. Lab

The Microwave lab is equipped with microwave benches, Klystrons and other microwave devices as couplers and circulators etc. to impart the best practical knowledge to the students of this growing field of research along with ample kits for analog and digital communication experiments.


The laboratory consists of hands-on assignments. The goal is to illustrate concepts and to give students the opportunity to build and test real systems. Lab exercises make use of the Xilinx ISE tool chain, which is a powerful state-of-the-art CAD tool for designing and implementing digital systems on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) boards. The system consists of an integrated set of tools that allows one to capture designs with schematic entry or a Hardware Description Language (HDL), and simulate, implement and test these designs. This course uses an FPGA board from the Diligent Corporation, which has a Xilinx Virtex2P chip on-board using Spartan-3.

Signal processing lab

MATLAB is widely used in all areas of applied mathematics, in education and research at universities, and in the industry. MATLAB stands for Matrix Laboratory and the software is built up around vectors and matrices. This makes the software particularly useful for linear algebra but MATLAB is also a great tool for solving algebraic and differential equations and for numerical integration. MATLAB has powerful graphic tools and can produce nice pictures in both 2D and 3D. It is also a programming language, and is one of the easiest programming languages for writing mathematical programs. MATLAB also has some tool boxes useful for signal processing, image processing, optimization, etc.

PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Lab

The PCB lab is equipped with latest curing machine, coater, etching machine, shearing machine and chemicals required. The lab is of great use to the students for making the PCBs’ of the projects they submit in the final year as a part of their curriculum.
