How To Apply:
1. Interested candidates must apply online at www.upsconline.nic.in. The above-mentioned website has step-by-step guidance for filling out online applications.
2. Applicants are advised to submit only one application; however, if they must submit another/multiple applications due to unforeseen circumstances, they must ensure that the application with the higher RID is complete in all respects, including applicants’ particulars, review centre, photograph, signature, fee, and so on. 3. When submitting several applications, keep in mind that the Commission will only consider the applications with the highest RID (Registration ID), and fees charged against one RID will not be changed against any other RID.
4. All applicants, whether currently employed by the government, in government-owned industrial undertakings or other similar organisations, or in private jobs, should apply to the Commission directly online.
5. Persons already employed by the government, whether permanent or temporary, as workcharged employees other than casual or regular rated employees, or as employees of public enterprises, are required to notify their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for the Examination. Candidates should be aware that if the Commission receives contact from their employer, the Commission will withhold permission to candidates applying for/appearing at the examination.
6. Their application will be denied and their candidature will be cancelled if they do not pass the examination.
Selection Procedure :
1. The test will be carried out in the following manner: — I Stage I: Engineering Services (Preliminary/Stage I) Examination (Objective Type Papers) for the selection of candidates for the Stage II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage II) Examination; (ii) Stage III: Engineering Services (Main/Stage III) Examination; (iv) Stage IV: Engineering Services (Main/Stage IV) Examination; (v) Stage V: Engineering Services (Main/Stage IV) Examination; (v) Stage VI: Engineering
Stage II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage II) Examination (Conventional Type Papers) and Stage III: Engineering Services (Main/Stage III) Examination (Conventional Type Papers)
(iii) Personality Test (Stage III)
2. Engineering Services (primary/secondary) In Engineering, the examination will consist of two traditional style articles.
3. Discipline-specific with a three-hour time limit and a maximum score of 600 (300 Marks in each paper).
4. The Personality Test will be worth 200 points in Stage III.
5. Section III contains the syllabi for Stage I: (Preliminary/Stage I) and Stage II: (Main/Stage II).
6. Answers to traditional papers must be written in English. The question paper will only be in English.
